Busselton police take aim at gun security while investigating the stabbing

TIMESIDE’S top brass are being urged to consider beefing up gun-wielding security around a crime scene in Tumbuka this morning after a man was stabbed outside a party.

Police on the scene at 10.15am today said they were investigating the stabbing of an 18-year-old woman at an event in the St Stephen’s Green area of Timsdale.

Tumbuka council leader Bill Lomax said the stabbing may be linked to a string of recent violence in the south-east with gun crime and terrorism being the leading causes of death.

Mr Lomax said: “It’s a serious incident. Police are investigating this as a stabbing.

. People have been advised to contact police as soon as they become aware of the incident.”

Officers said yesterday that the incident was not suspicious and the woman was conscious when she arrived at an area hospital.

Detective Constable Jonathan Wilson, who works in the Met’s major crime team, said: “These sorts of circumstances can lead to serious, life-threatening incidents and as a result, we take it very seriously.”

Police said they are keen to locate the attacker and to hear from anyone who may have been at the event at around 9am yesterday.

Mr Lomax said in a statement he was “profoundly sorry” the victim had been taken ill but praised the police and ambulance services for their “bravery”.

Mr Lomax said: “This is a tragic moment for everyone involved. It’s particularly difficult to leave your job during a busy time on the weekend.

“But police have put up huge security which is to stop it becoming a further escalation and a wider tragedy.”출장 마사지
